Night Time Favorites for Baby

1. SwaddleMe Swaddle Blankets- These blankets velcro and make swaddling a breeze. Hampton could get out of the blankets but has a hard time getting out of these. Also the velcro makes diaper changing easy during the night.

2. Aden & Anais Muslin Blankets- These are lightweight and soft, and they come in cute patterns. Hampton loves these blankets! I put this over his bottom half at night, I just feel like you have to have a cover.

3. Noodle & Boo Products- I love how these soaps and lotions smell. I could just eat Hampton up after bath time.

4. Sound Machine- We use this every night. I read somewhere to use it for the baby, but right now while he is still in our room we need it to help drown out all his grunts and noises.

5. Puj Tub- This flexible tub fits perfect in the sink for when they are little. We used it without water for the sponge bath and then with water once his cord fell off.

6. Snuggabunny Rock and Play Sleeper- This was the most important item we had once we brought Hampton home. I couldn't sleep the first night with him in his crib. We went out and got this the next day and I was able to sleep knowing he was snug and elevated. **At three weeks he decided he did not like this anymore so we moved on to the next item. It was still worth the money for those first couple of weeks. We still use it around the house.

7. Snuggle Nest- I really like this bed because it still gives the baby some elevation. Also, when we travel we just carry this with us instead of a pack and play. I use this in his crib not in the bed with us.

Home with Hampton

Hi friends, I am back! I decided to take a bit of a maternity leave. Everyone else gets to do it why not a stay at home mom too? Honestly I have been to busy staring, holding, and loving our new baby that I haven't thought about anything else.

meet

He was born at 5:39pm on May 22nd weighing 7lbs 7oz and measured 21"

It was love at first sight

Birth Story:
I went into the hospital Tuesday May 21st at 5:00pm as scheduled. We got checked in and they went ahead and started poking me with an IV and slapping all those beautiful bracelets on me. Wesley and I watched TV shows that night and besides the nurse coming in every 4 hours it was pretty normal.
On Wednesday morning at 6:00am they started me on a Pitocin drip. And do you know what happened after that?.....NOTHING!! I spent all day in the hospital room with no change or progress.
At 12:00 my doctor came in and broke my water, and still no baby or any signs of a baby. At 5:00pm she came back and asked if I was ready to proceed with a C-section.
And by 5:39pm Baby Hampton was here!
We always knew if we had a boy we wanted to name him Hampton, we just liked it.
His middle name Flynn is my dads middle name also.
We spent two nights in the hospital and had lots of family come to visit.
The first night I put him in the bed beside me and he held onto my finger the whole night.

Our First Family Photos

Hampton's first football...given to him by his great grandfather
We dressed him in his going home outfit, the same outfit Wesley left the hospital in when he was born, and snapped some photos before heading home.

I just cant get enough of him. I cant believe today he is 2 months old!

April Recap

April started off with Kate's Bachelorette Party down in St. Simons Island. We rented a beautiful house on the beach, and after a terrible experience with GA Beach Rentals (I would not recommend), we finally got into the house and started the party!

33 weeks on a bachelorette party!
I had so much fun with all of Kate's beautiful friends.

At Brogens we ran into my father-in-law
Whitney and I made these cute Hangover Bags for the girls
They included face wipes, hair ties, tylenol, mints & gum.
I ordered the bags from this etsy shop.

We ate lunch at The 4th of May and dinner at The Rooftop at Ocean Lodge.

It was such a beautiful night and of course we ended up at Ziggys that night!

All the Sister-in-laws in our bubble necklaces
And while I was down there I got to sneak in some time with Meredith's baby, David!

On Monday when I got home the movers were ready to pack us up and move us to Columbus
34 weeks moving towns
We dropped our stuff off and headed back across the state to Athens, Ga for the Luke Bryan/Jason Aldean concert at Sanford Stadium.

We got invited to attend the opening cocktail party for Art in Bloom in columbus with James Farmer.
We were excited to meet some young people that live in our new city.
We also celebrated Wesley's birthday this month. He got a new bike for the big day.
Here I am 36 weeks preggo!
I even got one more trip back to Atlanta to visit with my girls and paint pottery.
I miss them more than anything!
We also squeezed in a quick trip to Lake Martin to visit with some Atlanta friends, Trent & Alyssa and Jeff & Amy. The boys enjoyed the Relaxation Station.

I told you we have been super busy. I cant wait to share Wade & Kate's wedding with you.

Blog for Sale??

I know you are probably wondering if I sold my blog with my house. Nope! I have been a little busy, a little tired, and a little bit in a funk. I will try to be super positive and not weigh you down with my issues, but it has been a little hard to become adjusted to my new life in Columbus.
No job sounds awesome right? Well for most people yes,
but for me I loved my job (and the pay check that came with it).
There is no way I can update you on everything we have done in the past two months, but I am going to do a fast recap.
In early March, Wesley and I took a Babymoon to Highlands, NC stay at Old Edwards Inn.
It was amazing! We had so much fun just the two of us.

We went to some great dinners at Wild Thyme and Madison's and a hike through the waterfalls.
 29 weeks on a hike!
We even spent some time at the spa before we left. I would highly recommend going to the spa if you are ever close to Highlands. It was wonderful!
This is not us, just a pic from the website.
I also had a Bowtie Baby Shower in Cordele thrown by some of my friends.

 Aren't these tie cookies precious?

I was so excited to get Wesley's going home outfit from his mom.

My grandmother had this sweet blanket monogramed with "Hamp the Champ"
I also got my UppaBaby Stoller. I love it!!!

Getting to see my friends and their babies is always a highlight of my trips back home.
That same day we celebrated Wesley's brother Wade and his Fiancé Kate with a Wine & Cheese.

 30 weeks preggo!
Me and my dad.

We got to travel back down south the next weekend for Will & Caroline's Wedding.
It rained and rained, but didn't stop this crew from having a blast!
31 weeks at the rehearsal dinner
 The girls
If you have a second hop over to Vue Photography to see the amazing
Genya capture this beautiful day.

I never get to see Wesley in a tux, he looked so handsome!
The last week of March I traveled to New York City with my parents.
My dad had to go for work and so I jumped in to keep my mom company during the day.

I got to see two great friends, Jennie and Carly.

We took a Rickshaw ride through Central Park
Ate Lunch at ABC Kitchen. WOW! It was so fresh and good! Another must do!
played around in ABC Carpets for a bit
Went to see Scarlett Johansson in a play
We got to check out the Piperlime store
and see one more show Nice Work if you Can Get it with Matthew Broderick.
Dad got to join us for that one! It was really cute; and Matthew Broderick was great!
I dont have a belly shot but I was 32 weeks in the Big Apple!
That sums up March. See I told you I have been busy. I will recap April tomorrow!
