Behind the Scenes: Home Tour Outside

I was so excited when I was chosen to be an Everygirl and give a tour of our home. We have been in our house for just over a year and have loved making it our own.
I wanted to give you a little behind the scenes action.
Lets start with the Outside...

Before:
The house was red brick with white siding and trim and window boxes that were way too small.
 After:
We painted the house and trim a neutral color.

and the door Wythe Blue

As you can see we haven't done much in terms of landscaping,
but we are very happy with the paint change.

Happy Monday! More to come!

Beautiful Barstools

Well I am not in the market for barstools, but as luck would have it, I stumbled across some really awesome deals on barstools from World Market. I just got an email that they were having a dining furniture sale so I went to check it out and was floored at the selection.
These grey and linen stools are only $179.99

This tufted one is priced at $149.99 and comes with nailhead trim.
And for a french look, this bad boy is only $129.99...
Can you get over these deals? Anyone in the market for barstools?
This is the same look from Ballards and it starts at $689.
Had to share a good deal! Hope someone out there scores some of these.

Three Peas in a Pod

Last weekend my friends threw a baby shower for not only me but two more mamas-to-be.
A TRIPLE Baby Shower!!! Crazy huh? It was amazing! They did such a great job at decorating the room and making us feel so loved. All of the other girls moms came and it was like mother-daughter day in college all over again. Jill designed the invites and did most of the fun decor. She is one talented friend!

Jill made the paper art work over the mantle and hauled it all the way from south Ga.
And the paper tassels added a pop of color to the window.
 All the girls
Our newest mom and sweet baby David
We had the best time opening gifts

We all got our car seats from the hostesses
 My sweet mom and me

I got these fun stickers from Mrs. Dorsey and Mary Stewart, I was so glad they got to come. They were the first family I nannied for (yes mary stewart is WAY taller than me now). Mrs. Dorsey taught me so much and continues to amaze me at all she does.
And Tiffany also came to join in on the fun
They had tons of breakfast foods to enjoy...biscuit bar

Cinnamon roll Waffles.. and a yogurt and granola bar too!

Valentines for School

This year we went all out on Valentines. I let the kids choose whatever they wanted to do.
Reese chose the Glowsticks for her class. Even better since they don't like for you to bring candy to preschool. Click here for the Free Printable from Kommunicated.

Lanier wanted to do a little Glowsticks, Friendship Bracelets, and Smores.
The bracelets we did for the girls in the class. Click here for the Free Printable from Dandee.

and for the boys we did the Smores kit. These are my favorite!
The directions for the smores are on the back
Click here for the Free Printable from Domesticated Lady.

For the teachers this year we made heart shaped bird feeders. I got this idea from a friend. I followed the directions from Hello Bee here

I used red and white bakers twine for the string
Sweet Reese is so excited to give these to her teachers.

I made the tags for these by downloading some free fonts.
I got all of these ideas from Pinterest to see more Valentines ideas go to my Valentines board.
You can also look back to see what we have done in the past here

Grammy's Red Carpet

The Grammys is my favorite awards show. What's better than a free concert in the comfort of your own home? Here are my top picks for best dressed on the red carpet.
Number one by far was Rihanna
That dress, lipstick, and her hair...WOW!

I liked Taylor Swift's dress but wasn't crazy about her updo
Kelly Rowland didn't follow the dress code rules but she rocked the cut-outs
Katy Perry was glowing in this skin tight green number
again she might have pushed the dress code but she looked Hot!
Who was your favorite from last night?

I Got Showered

This past weekend I had my first baby shower. It was so much fun and the girls had it decorated so cute! I got some great gifts for the baby. I guess I haven't officially told you yet, but his name is Hampton Hill. (we are still deciding on the middle name)
Check out these cute invitations and party decor

 with all my loot...

How cute are these baby toms??
I loved all of my gifts! It was exciting to see his name on one of the outfits.
I was so happy to have my mom, wesley's mom and sister there with me.
And I was thrilled when Mrs. Marcy and Whitney surprised me with my mobile!
I love this sweet little mobile and have been dying over it for a while. It is going to look so good over my gray crib. I cant wait to show you more sneak peeks of the nursery soon.

The girls that threw this shower are all of Wesley's friends wives or girlfriends. I am so lucky to also call them my friends too. They are such an awesome group of girls and truly showered me and baby Hampton with love.
