Gettin' Out

We have been able to get out of the house and take a break from house projects too.
We have been to dinner at Haven and then Bourbon Bar with friends.

We went down to the dome for the SEC Championship game

Spent some time with my favorite girls to exchange christmas gifts.
Attended Laurens first wedding shower, a tea at The Ritz Carlton, it was fabulous!
And I've been spending a lot of time dressing up my sweet Reese in her Christmas dresses getting her ready for her BIG 4th birthday party.

And we are off to Metter, Ga today to spend time with Wesley's family for the holidays.
9 Days till Christmas!!!

I am so excited to show you the transformation of the outside of our house. I knew right away I wanted to have the brick painted and a cute front door!
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Oh what a difference! Even the priming step got me excited!

Now we have to get some thicker columns and new landscaping. I am so excited to make this little house our first home!

Paint Job # 1

SIDENOTE: A week and a half with no TV or internet is AWFUL! I was so ready to get back to looking at all my blogs and pinterest. Now we are up and running.

Without the above luxuries we have been getting a lot of painting done at the house.
(ok the painters have been getting a lot done)
Here are some updates...
Kitchen Cabinets Before:
 * notice the built in refrigerator box that had to go so we could fit in our new one. And the small cabinet that sicks out got replaced with a larger one that we were able to sit back closer to the wall.

Kitchen Cabinets After:
Man, what a difference thicker moulding makes!

I still have to get the hardware for the cabinets. While we were ripping out and changing things around I told Wesley I didn't want the cabinet over the sink. We had already ripped out the cabinet over the refrigerator with NO problems, we get to pulling out this cabinet and find this...A MESS!

Now we will get that patched so I can drop a pretty little pendant light over my sink and add some open shelves!!! YAY!
It actually worked out perfect..besides my hole in the wall...in the end since we were able to use the cabinet that was over the sink above the refrigerator. That allowed me to have double the storage!

And you might have noticed that we got rid of the black fridge and got a counter-depth stainless steel to take its place. Waiting on a dishwasher cover now! He cant be the only black appliance in my kitchen.
I cant wait to show you tomorrow the transformation of the outside of our house.

Housewarming

Right after we moved in, Nicole and Hunter brought us this cute Housewarming gift.
It was filled with tools, gloves, paint supplies, a magazine, tool belt,
and some tool that looks like a pet hairbrush.
We got to figure out what that one is!
It made such a cute gift, Thanks!
