Paging Dr. Hill

This past weekend the reason Wesley's whole family was together was to celebrate Whitney graduating from South University where she got her Doctorate of Pharmacy.
We are all so proud of her; She is so smart and talented and is now the only Dr. in the family!
These pictures were taken at the pinning ceremony held Friday morning that Mema was able to attend.
Congratulations to my beautiful sister-in-law!

Sweet Mema

This past weekend Wesleys grandmother, Mema, passed away. She was such a sweet, caring, christian woman that loved her family dearly. I know she is happy to be in heaven now watching over us all.

I pray that his family has the strength to get through the next few days of decisions and have the understanding of Gods will. I know there will be times to come that will be tough without her, so I pray that God will help lead us through those times.

Summer days

I know I have been super slack lately, but here is where I have been.
I am trying to teach Reese how to swim this summer..she is getting close!
Last week Lanier & Reese spent the night with us. Here they are with their stuffed animals on the way over.
I will get out of my lazy summer days soon......

Next Time

Next time I make an upholstered headboard, I'm going to do something like this
I found this one at Scotts last month and loved it. Wrapping a straight headboard is easy peasy, but can be a bit boring. I love the interest and design the nailheads add.
Like this one from Serena & Lily.

Now I just have to find someone to let me tackle this project for their house since I cant squeeze another headboard in our place.

Found It

We have found the BEST pizza in Atlanta...hands down!
I have heard about this little place down by Georgia Tech, but just found the time to try it out. Antico Pizza is a must try, over and over and over again!
The best part is the option to BYOB or Wine or like us rolling cooler
The pizza comes out looking something like this....beautiful
Here we are with the owner and chef Giovanni
He loved us from the minute we walked in giving us a private room, rushing our order, and even throwing in a Tiramisu. I cant wait to go back!

REAL HOUSES OF ATLANTA

This house belongs to the grandparents of the kids I nanny.
It is located off Muscogee and is quite stunning.
Here is the cute couple in their foyer.
I wish I had more pictures to share, because the inside is beautiful too.

Memorial Weekend

This past weekend was spent living it up in Atlanta with my family.
Saturday morning we headed down to Piedmont Park to feed the ducks, play on the playground, and check out the farmers market.
Little did we know Jazz Fest was going on and the park was filled with music, vendors, an NBA basketball section, and a kids tennis park.
Then we spent some time soaking up some rays and swimming at the pool.
I took them to Verde for dinner and of course stopped by Yoforia after for some dessert.
Sunday morning we went to Stone Mountain.
We went to the top of the mountain on the Sky Ride
then tried out the ropes course and the Great Barn
We had a quick picnic and then rode the train around the mountain.
For dinner we went to my Aunt & Uncle's house in Roswell
and got to love on Lila Jane

We even broke out Just Dance
We had such a great time visiting with everyone. I was so happy to have everyone here to spend the weekend. I wish we could do that all the time.
