Christmas at the Hills

We too are decking our halls. FA LALA LA LA LA LA LA LA! Im so excited its Christmas Season and our house feels so cozy with our decorations. Here are some snapshots of our Holiday Home.

Mema brought me back this sweet Kissing Ball from her trip our west.

I got this great idea from Mrs. Dorsey. I bought a picture album and put in my friends christmas cards I got that year. This is 2009's album.

Of course I had to show this spread of Maggie & Jill.

We dont have a ton of decorations yet, so thats one thing on my christmas list this year. MORE DECOR!!!

I was going to show you all our decorated home when I realized, I haven't finished showing you all of our place. (there's not much more)
I just re-vamped our entryway. This piece was a muted green color from HomeGoods. I kept saying our entrance was boring so with a can of paint I spiced it up!
I dont have a before pic but here is the after.

These were my inspiration for the color choice.

You can see a glimpse of my coat hanger project. I wanted a fun way to add hooks for our jackets at the door. So I shopped around for different hooks and came up with this just in time for the cold weather.

Our entertainment center was a quick buy from IKEA. Here is my inspiration picture for this piece

Family Gift Giving

Here are some of my favorite gifts to give others
These Santa bags have been a hit with my family. It makes it so easy to travel to Grandparents house with all those gifts.

A Striplings Gift Box. This place is from Cordele, my hometown, and has some of the best sausage. Team it with some fresh cheese, jelly, and pancake mix with syrup you got a Christmas Morning Winner!

I got this tote last year from my boss and have loved it! She had it monogramed on top!

Monday, December 6

Christmas in the City

On Thursday Wesley & I went to New York with my Grandparents. We had a quick change when we got there and went to dinner at Basso 56. It was AMAZING! It was rated #1 on Tripadvisor.com and we know why!! After dinner we headed to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. The show was great and the music was so entertaining.

After the show, we went out to see Maggie & Jennie.

Friday morning we stopped at the famous Magnolia Bakery for Coffee and a muffin.

Then we went to Rockefeller Center to the Top of the Rock. You can see everything from the top. It is so crazy to see Central Park in the middle of all those buildings.

This room was super cool, it gave you a color and would follow you around in the room.

Wesley & I stood in the Tkts line to get discounted tickets to another show. 2 hours later and our 3rd choice we got tickets for Mary Poppins. It ended up being so cute and the props in this show were intense!

Saturday was FREEZING! We went to The World's Largest Store MACYS!

I know long post, but we had to get everything in! It was so fun to spend the weekend in New York with my wonderful grandparents. We will never forget that trip with them.
