Secret Santa

I had to share this with you! Kate told me about this website secretsanta.com. It is a Free site that lets you put in the names and email addresses of the people in your Christmas swap and will automatically email everyone on the list with who the computer picked to be your gift recipient. What a great idea right?

My group of friends do this every year and if we aren't together to draw out of a hat we have to get creative. Some husbands have even been forced to draw for us and email everyone! And last year for my family swap my brother-in-law did an excel spreadsheet. (typical accountant behavior) What about those times where you get to the end and the last person picked their own name. You can use this for family, friends, or even work parties. I will be using this from now on. I think Kate said you could even send out your Christmas list on the website!

Gin Creek...a family wedding

This past weekend we traveled down to Moultrie, Ga to attend Wesley's cousins wedding at Gin Creek. Wesley was a groomsman so we got to take part in the rehearsal dinner Friday night. After the dinner they had a band play, and of course the Hills were on the dance floor!
 Kate, Whitney & Me
 The whole family
Wesley, Matthew (the groom), Wade, and Mark (cousin)
 Coach & Marcy
The Bride & Groom
Laura & Matthew

And look who I found...one of my favorites...Carly
Matthew spent half of the night on the mic with the band.
Saturday, us girls spent the day walking around the property checking out the wedding site. It was beautiful! Gin Creek has added a little piece of Italy to south Georgia. The property is complete with vineyards, a pond, a pergola, gazebo and a massive tent. I dont like taking pictures during the ceremony of a wedding, BUT how do I show you how beautiful it was without a pic? I snapped a couple during the prayers!!! Sorry God!

The sun had just set and the view was gorgeous
Can you see the tent at the top of the hill?
  Now on to the PAR-TAY!
Happy Couple

Mother & Father of the groom

Wade & Kate cuttin' a rug

We got a little crazy with the staff's hats
This is for you girls.....Look who outlasted who in the "My Feet Hurt" Competition
Wesley's tux came with the wrong size shoes...He said, "You know when you pack your luggage too full and you have to sit on it to zip it? Well thats what my feet feel like." I said, "Yes, honey I know!"
On our way home Sunday, I got to stop by Jenna's house to hold Jude. He is so tiny and sweet!

I am sad I have to wait until Thanksgiving to get my hands on him again. So happy for my friend!

Superhero Birthday

This past weekend I traveled to Charlotte to help celebrate my nephew Brecken's 5th Birthday!
It was a superhero theme and Spiderman even came
The Bauer Family ready for the party
My sister made these cute capes for the kids to have

The kids got to make their own masks
Here is Jacks mask
I even got in on the fun
Brecken or Captain America was all smiles getting in the jumpy
How cute is he in his cape?
We wrapped boxes in craft paper and drew windows on them
for the kids to stack and make their own city to knock down.

 Superhero Snacks

Brecken loved the homemade cake his mom made
Then Spiderman came and shot his web on the kids

Gigi (mom) got caught kissing Spiderman

Who could be the Man behind the Mask?

POPPIE a.k.a. Dad
and they lived happily ever after!

I had to get my picture with the superhero and my super nephews

oh and I just had to include this little guy...he finally got his city built
and knocked it down all by himself..so cute!
It was a great party! I am so glad I got to attend.
