Family Time

This past week was so busy starting with 3 of my best friends from High School coming up to stay with me. We had a great dinner at Twist Monday night and then went to Atlanta Mart on Tuesday. We all came out with tons of bags and some names checked off our christmas list. We took Rebecca to Anthropologie for the FIRST time!!! So exciting! It was so fun to spend some time with these girls.
Wesley and I met up with Russ & his girlfriend Meghan and Leslie & Jeb Tuesday night for dinner at Bricktops. Wednesday we finally headed home to Cordele, Ga where we spent a lot of time with these cuties.

REAL HOUSES OF ATLANTA

This house is located up in Roswell and is in the same neighborhood as my Aunt & Uncle. The people who live here are some of the nicest people EVER! I have been inside and it is awesome with a theatre room hosting 7 TV's!!

You can't tell but the house continues to wrap around to the left, and the section on the far right is an in-laws suite. It is pretty much another house, Kitchen, laundry, bedrooms, living room...I'll take the In-laws suite PLEASE!

We are in Destin, FL this weekend for a friends wedding. I'm about to go hit the outlets to do some christmas shopping. Have a good weekend!

Stella and Dot

Last night I went to a Stella & Dot Jewelry party hosted by a sorority sister of ours. Meghan and Lauren met me there and we had fun playing in all the beautiful pieces. Here are a few of my faves...

DMB

Last night we went to the Dave Matthews Band Concert at Phillips Arena. Out of all the concerts we have been to, we have never been to Dave. I was so excited and best of all we got to sit in a box!

Thanks to Trey for the awesome seats!

A House Divided

As you know I cheer for the Bulldogs and Wesley roots for the Tigers. So the UGA vs AU football game is so fun for us every year. All of Wesley's family was there, which is a whole house divided too!

We like to make a bet or two before the game....

Looks like I will be Cooking & Cleaning ALL WEEK!!!
I thought the dawgs put up a good fight...no pun intended...and played one of the best games all year. And Cam Newton didn't disappoint Auburn once again...unless they find a chunk of change in his couch cushions. Im excited for my husbands team to be coming to ATL for the SEC Championship, too bad we booked our New York trip for that weekend. (Yeah, he is a little upset about that one)
I made Jill's Toasted Pecan Goat Cheese, and before I could get back to take a pic of it this is what it looked like. It was a HIT!!!

REAL HOUSES OF ATLANTA

The outside of this house wasnt what caught my eye.

It was the BAR

The Closet

The Wine Cellar

The Theatre

The Pool

And this Fabulous Outdoor Space

You can find this beauty on Blackland Road. I hope you have a good weekend. We are headed to Auburn this weekend for the Biggest game of the year- for me. AUBURN vs. UGA!! GO DAWGS!

Guest Room Re-Do

This is what our Guest Bedroom looked like before this weekend. It was so drab and I couldn't wait any longer to make a change. I got all of this custom made when I left college and moved to the big city to become an ADULT...well it is a little too mature for me and I needed some fun in this room. I didnt want to get rid of everything since it was all handmade, just add a punch and keep it "grown-up".

Before the bed was pushed to the side of the room to create the illusion of a bigger space and also with hopes to find a desk to fit that room. Well sorry HUBBY but haven't found a desk and now since we changed the room around....hope that left-side-of-the-couch is a good enough desk for now!
This bed was my inspiration picture

I re-covered the headboard in this bright coral solid and added wings to the sides with board from Home Depot, batting, fabric, and a staple gun. We nailed it to the existing headboard and got the look I wanted! TA-DA!!!

WOW! What a difference lighting makes. We centered the bed and pulled those "black-out"panels back and let the light shine in. The sunburst mirror was above our bed, but it just fit way better right here.

Here is what it looks like with no pillows

All thats left is adding nail heads down the sides and getting a pillow made from this fabric. LOVE!!!

I am so happy with how this has turned out and it looks alot happier for all of our special guests!
